I can't believe I just passed the NCLEX RN and YOU CAN TOO! Here's what I used to pass:
Hurst - Listened to all Marlene's lectures
Learning extension - 5 weeks. Scores 1st 55-60% and 2nd 70-90%
Exam cram - Read all the chapters/ CD scores 60-75%
PDA by LaCharity- Answered questions chapter 1-18 1st 55-66% and 2nd 70-90%
Sauders CD - There are over 200 on SATA questions (Select ALL that Apply) I answered half
Pharmacology Memory note card - Excellent for visual learners. Tons of funny pictures which helped me remember drugs and their side effects
Thank you NCSBN for helping me PASS, your program is AWESOME!!!
Congrats!!! =) oh i'm taking my exam this coming friday and i'm a lot nervous and scared... I didn't get to finish my 5 week course here at NCSBN... i still have the musculoskeletal, integumentary and oncology when my time was up.. I'm getting scores same as yours here at learning ext. i'm doing the SATA by saunders CD and i'm almost done, there are SATA 295 questions. That's all i had for my review and even i read, i feel like my mind is messing up with all the things i've read... i'm a lil bit worried bcoz they say you have to get more than the passing standard from your practice quiz in order for you to be safe in the exam... and i barely get 75% from my quizzes for the 1st try...
Thank you! :) Honestly I did not finish content, it was way too much info. I just went over the ones I was weak in. 1 week prior to my exams I just kept doing questions even if I was getting the same questions over again. Keep practicing the quizzes and most importantly read the rationales. Below is a forum that a girl posted up on Allnurses.com after she passed the NCLEX. It was very helpful! Hopefully it helps you too. You will pass! :) Wish you luck!
aaww... thank u! this would be very helpful... and thanks for the time... appreciate it so much... again CONGRATULATIONS!!! May our dear LORD BLESS YOU MORE=)
I take the NCLEX on april 4th and it is good to hear that you didnt finish this course I ordered the 3 week course and still have lots to finish. I am also using the kaplan book and exam cram to answer extra questions to take a break from the computer. I am determined to pass I have contemplated rescheduling my test but I need to just follow through and stop delaying my destiny because of fear. I know you can do and I can too
heyy congrats..thanks a lot for the link...god bless
CONGRATS.. I will also be taking my exam soon, and I am so anxious, i wasn't able to finish the contents of the review but tried to answer all the practice quizzes and just so worried coz i barely have a passing score of 75%.. :( i hope i would also pass the exam.
Congratulations! I was wondering if you would like to sell your pharmacology memory note card. I am planning to take the exams soon. If you interested please add me so we can exchange contact information. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you! :)
Sorry, the book is not for sale. However the book is very affordable and you can find it on the link below.
There's a kindle version for this item also. It's 2$ cheaper. Wish you luck on your exam!!!
what do you mean by 2nd when you show your exam grades?
I took the exam twice. Those were my scores 2nd time around.
hw many times you took the exam
I am getting 60% the first time and I am so worried, but the second time I am getting 80% mainly because I remember the answer after I went over it. What else should I be doing to study for the exam... I feel 60% on the first try is not good enough that I will pass NCLEX
It's okay if you get the same questions. I did too and I just went over it again and again making sure that I really understood what the question is asking. Before purchasing learningextesion I used Hurst and Kaplan for content. After my review was done with learningextension I used exam cram by Pearson and La Charity. I also did Sauders, but only the SATA questions on the CD.
