, last edited December 21, 2011 , tagged General, NCLEX ExamTaking tests can cause some people anxiety and cause them to perform much more poorly on tests than they normally do in class or on the job. The best way to reduce test-anxiety is through constant exposure. Practice, practice, practice! Taking tests is a learned skill. The good news is that just like with any other skill, you will improve with practice.

what is the best way to reduce test anxiety? because when i usually study am fine then when i get into the test center i begin to get nervous when i start the test, and subconsiously start to second guess myself, what are some ways to block those thoughts so that i can have a clearer state of mind when i take the exam again?

I agree practice and exposure helps build confidence but for some reason in the back of my head I am constantly worrying about failing again even when I study. I recently told myself I am starting over and acting as if I have never taken NCLEX before but I think this may be hard. Do you have any suggestion on reducing anxiety?
