I   am a strong believer in this statement.  If we study hard and pray even harder God will reward us.

I agree, thank you for posting.  I needed to hear that word.

I am taking the boards Monday.  As a 40-something mother of who works 32 hours/week, I am  actually retaking after having let my license lapse for quite a while.  Long story, but please learn from me -- don't ever let your license lapse no matter what else comes your way in life, just keep it as fall back.

You are so right, Sandi - NEVER let your license lapse, for any reason!!  In Illinois, "former" nurses who let their licenses lapse have to take both a refresher course and NCLEX. I'm sure other states have similar standards in their Nurse Practice Act.

      Best wishes, Sandi.

That's wonderful news! Just curious, have you found a job already? In what setting (hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health, or other) are you going to work ?

Be sure to add your star to our Hall of Fame!

Not quite sure what I will pursue.  I currently work in a physician office as front desk receptionist.  Our office is owned by the local hospital, so I am first inquiring with my manager about any opportunities within the office setting.  My last job before I left nursing before was with an insurance company, which I loved.  Unfortunately, we live in smallish area now and I don't really see anything like that here.  Not terribly interested in hosp/SNF.
