| Hive |
A place on the Web site where buzz is created like a discussion, CE course or blog. |
Go to a course description and click the small grey ribbon ribbon at the top right. The ribbon will turn yellow and the page now appears on your Favorite Hives page. |
| Favorite | A helpful post or hive that you’d like to remember or return to. | Choose a post within a discussion. Right above the post, simply choose “Add to Favorites." It now appears on your My Favorites page. |
| Post | Whatever you add to the Web site. | Start a new discussion, share a testimonial, post a study tip, or get a NCLEX study group going. |
| Comment | Whenever you respond to a post on the Web site. | Go to Sue’s blog and choose comment. Add a title and write your comment. |
| Subscribe | Automatic notification any time there is a new update, post or comment on a page or discussion you choose. | Find a page you like and click on the small double box icon on the far right. You’ll be asked what you want to know and how you want to be notified. |
| Network | The people within the community that you want to connect with. | To add someone to your network simply click on their name to go to their profile. Then select “Add to Network.” Go to “Edit my Preferences” (under Edit my Profile) to either show your network or hide it from others. |
"My pages" keeps track of each of these for you! Whether you post, comment, subscribe, or mark something as a favorite, you can come back to your pages to find that information quickly and easily.
Also, be sure to check out your Inbox (located within your profile). Here you can send and receive messages to/from other community members that are part of your network. You can send messages to community members who aren’t part of your network as well. Simply click on their name, and then choose “Send a Message.”
As you go through the Web site, you can click the little flag in the upper left-hand corner of the screen to add to your Favorites.
Then, check back here to keep updated on what’s going on in your favorite places within the NCSBN e-learning community — whether it is a new post or a comment, we’ll sort through the site and bring you the latest.
