About Us

A community of nursing students, nurses and nursing educators

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), with the help of many experts within the nursing community, created the Learning Extension to help busy nursing students, nurses, and nurse educators meet their educational goals. Since 1998, the Learning Extension has reached 520,000 learners in 120 countries, and counting!

The Learning Extension community, provides the nursing community the same high-quality nursing continuing education, coupled with exciting new levels of interactivity.

  • Targeted discussion areas - Easily interact with others who share the same concerns, needs and questions in an online community. You can also subscribe to pages that interest you and receive notification of new comments.
  • More interaction - Enjoy easy access to instructors and other students in the community, while only following posts and discussion threads that reflect your interests. You can even form a local study group for the NCLEX exam and advertise it here.
  • More opportunities to share - Did you just pass your NCLEX exam? Were you able to immediately apply something you learned in a nursing CE course? Share tips with other community members in real time and pay it forward!

What are our goals?
