What are the most appropriate pain interventions?

What resources might I recommend to my clients, including hospice care?

Course Objectives

Learn everything from hospice care to pain management.

Apply what you learn as you master these course objectives:

Describe the symptoms associated with end of life for the person with a chronic or terminal condition.
Describe the unique aspects of pain management associated with end of life.
Relate the importance of pain control to quality of life (or death).
Recommend most appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions for pain.
Recognize that pain management at end of life is an ethical and moral responsibility.
Implement a plan of care with pain assessment and management as integral components.
